Thrift gamers looking for some great handheld fun will be happy to know that Nintendo of America will be knocking an entire $30 off one of its most popular bundles, as stated by the platform holder in a press release today.
“At a suggested retail price of $99.99, Nintendo 2DS is an even more attractive introductory option for first-time gamers,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The new lower-priced hardware combined with the strong lineup of new games launching this year and arguably the best library of games in this generation makes it a great time to be a Nintendo fan.”
The bundle normally costs $129.99 and comes with a digital download of Mario Kart 7. The regular pricing seems quite generous already, so the new suggested retail price is nothing short of amazing. Consider that the game itself usually sells for around $30 or more, you’re basically getting the console for $70; a price that’s pretty hard to sniff at.
The new price for the 2DS bundle will come into effect from August 30th, 2015 – so be sure to keep an eye out for it in your local retailers. We’re slowly approaching the holiday season, too, so maybe this one’s worth snapping up nice and early and hiding away until Christmas morning. Or, you know, just get it for yourself and give the kids some books or something…
