As of Community Day Classic: Dreaming of Dratini, you’ll find that a number of Gold Pokestops have appeared in Pokemon GO. If you spin a Gold Pokestop, a Coin will shoot out accompanied by a Roaming Form Gimmighoul. The Roaming Form Gimmighoul will proceed to follow Trainers and beg for Coins.
How To Capture Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokemon GO
While Roaming Form Gimmighoul exists in Pokemon GO already, you can’t actually capture it yet. In fact, it’s said that not a single Trainer in Paldea has ever managed to catch a Gimmighoul in its Roaming Form. But that may not stay the case for too long…
With the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release date scheduled for Friday, November 18, 2022, it will soon be possible to link Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet with Pokemon GO. Only Trainers that link these two Pokemon titles will be able to capture Roaming Form Gimmighoul in Pokemon GO.
This feature is planned for 2023, so, unfortunately, it seems as if Roaming Form Gimmighoul will remain uncaptured for the foreseeable future.

Pokemon GO Roaming Form Gimmighoul: How To Link Pokemon GO And Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
To link Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you must connect both titles to Pokemon HOME.
Before you begin, you have to download Pokemon HOME to your Android or iOS device. Open the app and log in with your existing Nintendo account or create a new account. You will want to use the same account across your mobile device and Nintendo Switch.
With that out of the way, open Pokemon GO and navigate to the Settings. Now, scroll to the bottom until you see Pokemon HOME. Finally, sign in with your Pokemon account, and you’re good to go!
To link Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with Pokemon HOME, you’ll need to download Pokemon HOME from the Nintendo eShop. Specific details on connecting Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with Pokemon HOME will be made available when the feature goes live in 2023. However, the process should be relatively simple and not too different from linking Pokemon GO and Pokemon HOME.
The mysterious Ghost-type Pokemon, Gimmighoul, is out and about, but Trainers will have to wait until 2023 to capture it in Pokemon GO.
