Earlier today we told you that the highly anticipated Oculus Rift VR headset had a release date and price. Unfortunately, not everything has gone to plan. Many have screamed out in protest at the rather high cost of entry, but that’s not the biggest worry for those who’re committed to getting their heads inside the piece of kit.
The Oculus Rift VR was supposed to start shipping to customers in May of this year, however, the high-tech headset is now expected to reach customers by June, 2016. The actual release date is March 28th, though it was stated that shipping dates may change due to demands for the headset.
Oculus VR comes with a headset, sensor, Oculus Remote, cables, Xbox One Controller, Eve: Valkyrie, and Lucky’s Tale. You can get all of this for the premium price of $599.00. Jeez. Expensive, innit?
With the demand being so great for the virtual reality headset we’re not entirely confident that the expected shipping date won’t be pushed back even further. We’ll keep an eye on it and update here as and when the situation changes.
