Yesterday Sony Computer Entertainment announced a heft 5000 Yen price drop for the PS4 in Japan. Today the Japanese firm has announced further reductions across Asia in an effort to shift more consoles.
The new prices for the PS4 will come into effect on October 1st. Below you can see the slides from the presentation that detail the new prices for the different Asian countries.
It’s a good move by Sony, but many will be wondering whether the PS4 will get a price drop in the west after seeing prices being slashed elsewhere. Sony will be present at Paris Games Week next month, so perhaps we’ll get some information on a new retail price then.
However, even if there is a price-drop announced, don’t expect it to be too drastic.
