We’ve seen a few indie games get unexpected physical releases, but this one is possibly one of the most unexpected. Tower of Guns from Terrible Posture Games is set to release on the PS4 and Xbox One in a physical form.
It hasn’t been confirmed by the developer, but it looks pretty much set in stone as the game has a couple of new product listing pages over on Amazon.co.uk. What’s really peculiar is that both the PS4 and Xbox One physical releases are listed as being steel book editions – something that’s really quite unusual for indie games.
The listing page states that Soedesco will be the game’s publisher. This isn’t that hard to believe as the publisher has previously published a few indie games for physical releases, most notably the cracking MOBA Awesomenauts Assemble! for the PS4.
According to the Amazon listing we’ll be adding this one to our bulging shelves on September 24th. Tower of Guns originally released digitally back in March 2014 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and PS3 where it received mostly positive reviews.
We’re a little perplexed as to why this one’s getting a physical release, but we’re happy enough to have a reason to get spend money.
