Earlier this evening the PSN went down, throwing players out of online games and stopping them from using the PlayStation Store.
Well, PlayStation folks: you’re not alone.
Xbox Live users are reporting similar connectivity issues with Xbox Live. The common complaint seems to be that players aren’t able to login to the online services or use certain apps.
Rumours suggest that the reason for the outage isn’t all innocent, though at the moment there’s nothing official. Still, it does seem like a mighty coincidence for both PSN and Xbox Live to go down within hours of each other.
Not everyone is being affected by the latest round of Xbox Live issues, but there are a fair few reporting issues.
It’s worth noting that the official Xbox Live service alert page only mentions the Xbox 360 as having limited services.
