The famous building block game, Minecraft is getting a new exclusive version for the upcoming Windows 10 OS. Mojang and Microsoft have partnered up to deliver the new Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition. The new game launches in beta form alongside Windows 10 on 29th July.
If you already own the game on your PC then it will be a free download for you otherwise you will have to shell out $10 for the new version.
This new version is a completely different build which separates it from the existing build for the PC. It will also offer online multiplayer with other players on the Pocket Edition (which is available on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone smartphones) up to 8 players can play together via local co-op or Xbox Live.
We can hope that future updates for the Windows 10 Edition might include cross-platform support for both Xbox 360 & Xbox One versions as well but there’s no official word on this yet.
