Sony has revealed this morning at a special press meeting, that the Playstation Store has been completely re-designed.
Following a similar style to Microsoft’s ‘Metro’ interface, users should find navigation and sorting a lot easier from October 17th, when the new look store launches.
It’s been a while coming, and it seems Sony has listened to players requests, as the current store is much too clunky and slow, and at times it’s more than a pain to try to find a specific thing that you wanted to buy.
The new store will offer improved search functionality, with the promise that the function will be constantly improved on over time. In addition to better search functions, the ability to filter and arrange content by price, genre and peripheral support. So if you want to search for Playstation Move Racing Game Less than £19.99, it’s now possible. Handy for those that just want a quick fix of something cheap, and ideal for discovering new games in your favourite genre.
Also, DLC and add-ons for games will now be grouped together for ease of access. The move section of the Playstation Store will also be in for the beauty treatment, with easier search functions and smarter grouping of content within a genre.
