In yet another move by Konami to practically erase Kojima from the company and its products, Konami has removed both Kojima’s name and the Kojima Productions logo from the box art for Metal Gear Solid V.
This is just the latest in an ongoing situation where Konami, for reasons not completely known, has removed and distanced itself from the famed game developer.
For those who do not know the current situation there is a great timeline on these events that you can find here.
The change in the box art was originally noticed and uploaded by Neogaf users.
Now with such steps being taken by Konami it’s a serious concern if Kojima and his team aren’t credited anywhere in the game. If they are not in the credits of the game to acknowledge their efforts in bringing the most recent entry in the Metal Gear franchise, what would the ramifications be?
We will get our answer when Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1st.
