Activision officially announced a while back that it would be digging up the grave of the Tony Hawk franchise to bring Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 to players.
While the series has long been considered dead and buried, the news that a full-on numbered sequel would be releasing came as a bit of a shock, though it did reignite our interest in the decades-old skating series. Well, untill we learned that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 would be releasing on the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as the Xbox One and PS4. Cross-gen releases really aren’t in-favour with consumers these days…
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is set to release on Xbox One and PS4 this September 29th, though we’ve been a little confused about the dates for the last-gen versions.
GameStop has thankfully stepped in to reveal that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 will release on November 10th in North America – more than a month after the next-gen releases hit store shelves.
Why the delay? We haven’t got a clue, but the usual email has been sent out to Activision so we’ll keep you updated as and when more news comes through.
