Mafia 3 has been confirmed for the PS4, Xbox One and PC during this year’s Gamescom after previously being teased by publisher 2K games.
The third installment in the crime-driven series actually takes a leap through time to the 70’s instead of the series’ usual 40’s and 50’s timeframe. That’s not to say Mafia 3 won’t be connected to the previous games, though. It has been confirmed that the Vito from Mafia 2 will be partnering up alongside the main character for some parts of the game.
As can be seen in then clip below, Mafia 3 certainly isn’t shying away from the violence as we see the main character Lincoln Clay brutally stab some poor chap in the face several times. Ouch.
Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think about the time-warp, new location of New Orleans and the new protagonist.
Mafia 3 will release sometime in 2016 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
