The Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta is kicking off right now as beta codes start to make their way to pre-order customers. The beta will allow players to jump in to Treyarch’s first next-gen Call of Duty to put the multiplayer suite through its paces.
Before you can get in-game and start blowing away the digital faces of your enemies, you’ll have to download the new patch for the beta client. The new patch, numbered 1.01, is now live and brings with it some bug fixes, including team balancing, matchmaking and party stability, too.
The patch notes also state that the in-game store has been enabled, as have level caps for the beta period – so basically, you’re not going to be getting to the prestige levels anytime soon.
We’ll be posting our impressions of the Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta later on, so be sure to check back in with The Games Cabin.
Black Ops III will is set to release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this November 6th. There’s still time to pre-order if you haven’t already.
