Uncharted 4 has been delayed until early 2016, but there’s no reason to despair as the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be dropping in just over six weeks on the PS4.
Players have been promised access to the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta if they pre-order The Nathan Drake Collection, so we’ll still be able to get a taste for Naughty Dog’s fourth console outing of Drake and co. But when will we actually be able to play the beta? The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 promises access to it, but there’s no official date as to when it will be available, nor for how long it will run.
Good news is that our picky questions will all be answered soon, according to Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli. Speaking with GameSpot at this year’s PAX, the developer was asked: “The Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta, and that’s next year sometime, do you guys have a date on that?”
Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli replied “We don’t have a date quite yet, but we’re gonna be releasing some info about it really soon.”
Monacelli didn’t exactly discard the “next year” part of the question, but when asked again towards the end of the interview segment whether it was coming next year, he said “it’s coming soon, we’re gonna’ give a date very soon about it.”

We understand that Monacelli probably isn’t at liberty to go giving out important dates and such, but his lack of clarifying whether it would be this year or the next makes us think it’s probably not going to be this side of Christmas and he doesn’t want to be guy to break the bad news.
We’ll keep you updated when more info comes in, so check back in with The Games Cabin soon.
Would you be a little peeved if the Uncharted 4 beta isn’t available until next year, or are you not all that fussed about it? Crack a wise one down in the comments below.
