Ubisoft has another new property coming soon, though the release date isn’t known just yet. In fact, the release date isn’t even in mind, at least that’s what the developers say.
Instead of having a deadline, Ubisoft’s managers allowed the For Honor team some freedom in order to get the game running and then push out beta tests to help get the game in a shippable state. Makes a change…
That said, we’re still looking forward to it and especially like the idea of being a sword-wielding maniac on the battlefield. A couple of aspects that many have been wondering about are the single-player campaign and the customisation options on offer.
Obviously, Ubisoft has already stated that the game has a single-player campaign, though not much is being offered by way of details. However, For Honor’s creative director Jason Vandenberghe has said that the story will revolve around why Samurai and Viking soldiers are trying to knock each others head’s off, though nothing more is being offered as that’s why the team are working hard on right now. Exciting stuff!
Customisation will be present, but it’ll be a little limited in some parts of the game, more specifically in the multiplayer. During the single-player campaign you’ll be able to customise your warrior and move stats around, change weapons and so forth, but in the multiplayer you’ll be restricted to the bare minimum in order to keep the battlefield level. Sounds fair enough.
One Twitch viewer asked if For Honor will have any dragons. It’s a daft question, but you can sort of see where they were coming from with it. As expected, For Honor doesn’t have dragons. Nor does it have unicorns. That’s straight from the developers mouth. Go back to Game of Thrones if you’re looking for winged beasts.
For Honor will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, when it releases.
You can donate to the charities that Ubisoft is supporting with these Twitch streams here. It’s for a good cause and there’s a variety of charities to donate to. They’re all in aid of children, whether it be providing better health care, toys, or just something as simple as getting some decent food in their bellies before they go to school, these charities need your help. Go on, be a champ.
