Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is due out in just a few days time for the PS4 and Xbox One, while the last-gen editions will release a little later on in the year – November 10th to be precise.
Since the initial announcement we’ve been quietly optimistic about the Hawkster’s return after a few dud games. It’s been a long time since we’ve enjoyed a good Tony Hawk’s.
A few weeks ago Activision and Robomondo revealed a new art-style for the skater. Instead of going for the stylised realism that was originally show, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 takes on a bit more of a cartoony vibe with a distinct comic book style. We’ve not seen it in action all that much, but a new trailer released by Activision shows off a fair bit of gameplay in addition to explaining the tech involved in bringing the wheelie-boarders to life. It’s an interesting watch and the gameplay looks pretty decent, but we’ll have to wait to actually get our hands on the game before passing judgement.
