Concerns have been raised regarding Robomodo’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 ever since the studio revealed a change in art direction for the upcoming skater. That’s not all, though, as Activision also won’t be sending out review codes for video games until the game releases in North America on September 29th – never a good sign.
However, we’re staying optimistic that Tony’s return will be a roaring success – even if couch multiplayer is a no-go.
If you’re a fellow optimist then you’ve probably gone and pre-ordered the long-awaited sequel. Fair play if you did, that’s courage right there.
If you did pre-order, you can now go ahead and pre-load the game ahead of launch day, though it’s not like it’s going to be saving you a ton a time: the download size is tiny for a next-gen release.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5’s download size is a mere 4.6GB. Fallout 4 is rumoured to be around 30GB, and many other next-gen releases hit the 30GB mark quite easily.
However, there is a sizable update to download and install which will run you around 7.7GB of your finest bandwidth, but even then it’s still a really small package in total.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 releases on September 29th in North America and October 2nd in the UK and Europe.
You can pre-order your copy here from Amazon – if you’re feeling brave, that is.
