After teasing the games existence last month, Rockstar has now officially announced that GTA Vice City: 10th Anniversary Edition will be releasing on Android and iOS devices next month.
According to Rockstar, GTA Vice City “brings the full experience of GTA: Vice City to mobile devices, with native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms,” as well as “updated character models and lighting effects, new and more precise firing and targeting options, a fully customizable control layout and native support for Retina display devices.”
Sounds good to us. With no other options for a HD GTA experience on the go, GTA Vice City should serve us well, though once again we will have to contend with the awkward touchscreen controls that just don’t provide the accuracy or comfort of physical buttons. A release of these on the PS Vita would be a huge boost for the struggling system, lets hope Rockstar share a little mobile love with the poor Vita sooner than later.
The game releases for Android and iOS devices on December 6th for the paltry sum of $4.99. No official word on a UK/Europe release or price, but expect it to release either on the same date for a similar price, or shortly afterwards.
