A few days ago Sony announced the line-up for October’s PlayStation Plus goodies, one of which was Team Meat’s aptly named Super Meat Boy. It wasn’t really a surprise, though, as we already knew the game was going to be a part of the monthly update.
Still, nice enough to get it – even if it is years after originally releasing on the Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
Super Meat Boy originally released in 2010 for the Xbox 360, and with it came 200 gamerscore points to collect along with its 12 achievements. Oddly enough, the PS4 and PS Vita version won’t carry the same list of formidable tasks but will instead double its count to 24. Even more strange is that it still leaves the next-gen release behind when compared to the amount of achievements the game has on Steam: 48.
Why the discrepancy? We’ve no idea to be honest, but at least one of the trophies is a Platinum. The amount of grief we heard when it was revealed that Grow Home didn’t have the top trophy was unreal, so we’re just thankful our inbox won’t be full of complaints. Note: We don’t make these games, we just write about them. Clear enough?
Oh, just so you don’t think that the Platinum trophy will be an easy one, the achievements are solid. Seriously, go and have look, then cry.
