Many of you will remember the debacle that was Batman: Arkham Knight’s launch on PC. The game released simultaneously on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and while the consoles may have had a couple of issues here and there, it was nothing compared to the absolute travesty that was Arkham Knight on PC.
Seriously, it was so bad that the game was actually pulled from Steam while Warner Bros. attempted to get the game in a playable state.
Some months later, then, a patch was released to give the game a big boost and improve performance. It actually worked alright, too. The good news is that Warner Bros. isn’t just sitting back and letting it slowly sink into the past, but is instead still supporting the game.
In a post on the game’s Steam page, Warner Bros. states that there will be more updates in the future and that some of them should be ready by the end of this month.
“As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post. We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place.”
Better late than never, right? However, it still looks like PC players will have to fork out for the DLC as it sounds like – going by the wording in the statement – that the DLC will be up on the store for purchase, not for free download.
