Mirror’s Edge 2 is not only being considered by publisher EA, but is apparently in active development with Battlefield 3 developer DICE, according to former general manager Ben Cousins.
Cousins recently tweeted, “It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE.”
Add this to the previous rumors that have been circulating the web for months, and Mirror’s Edge 2 suddenly seems a lot more likely.
As of yet there’s been no official confirmation from Electronic Arts or developer DICE on whether the rumors are true and that the game is currently being made, but it can’t really stay in the dark for that much longer now, can it?
One of the other many rumors suggests that Mirror’s Edge 2 will run on the same Frostbite 2 engine that powers Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
EA and DICE have been bombarded with requests for a Mirror’s Edge 2, so this news can only be good for fans of the hectic first person free running adventure.
