Rocket League was a bit of an unexpected surprise when it released as a downloadable freebie for PS Plus members a while back. Don’t get us wrong though, it was as very pleasant surprise.
However, things are going to be changing very soon for the footy/racing mash-up, as revealed by the official Twitter account for the game.
There’s not much being given away as of yet but we do know that more details will be coming via the PlayStation blog on Wednesday, October 28th. What those changes will reveal is a complete mystery.
We’re hoping it’s nothing too drastic as the balance of the game is pretty well done in our humblest of opinions. Our bet is that we’ll see some new arenas that sport some complexity rather than the simple flat fields we’ve been zipping around on for weeks. The developers will be holding a livestream the day after the news goes live on the PlayStation blog, so we’ll probably get to see the new changes in action then.
It’s also worth noting that the big changes will be revealed a day after the first day of Paris Games Week. Whether this is related in one way or another isn’t known, but it’s curious nonetheless.
