Batman: Arkham Knight is a brilliant game by any standard, but the PC version of Rocksteady’s final chapter in the main Arkham trilogy was a bit of a stinker from the word go. The game launched with numerous bugs, glitches and was basically an unplayable product on the PC platform. As such, Warner Bros. pulled the game from sale and issued numerous statements about how the game would be patched, updated and slapped back together.
It’s been almost four months since the release and the ensuing backlash, but it looks like Gotham’s favourite son will rise again. Warner Bros. has announced that Batman: Arkham Knight will get a second release on PC this October 28th. The game will be as up to date as the console versions and include all content that has been released so far, e.g Photo Mode, Big Head Mode, AR character select etc. Obviously the DLC won’t be handed out for free, but those who have the Season Pass will be able to download the passes content when Arkham Knight releases.
Judging from the comments attached to the announcement on Steam, people still aren’t too happy about the whole situation; who can blame them, really?
Still, the game is a beast so if PC is your only option, perhaps it’s worth checking out this October 28th. Might be best to wait for a few user opinions to come in first though. You know, just to make sure it actually works. You can read our review of Batman: Arkham Knight here.
