Christmas time is usually when we boot up our old favourites that bring back memories of childhood festivities. This author in particular likes to eat his mince pies to the sounds of Spyro blasting away on the PS1, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones on the Gamecube, and a few rounds of Guitar Hero 3 (especially The Killers’ ‘When You Were Young’) on the Xbox 360. They’re all games received as Christmas gifts in years gone by, so it makes sense to give them a whirl when the eggnog is in abundance.
This year we may be adding a new game to our Christmas list with EnjoyUp’s Rock Zombie which has been announced for the Xbox One. The game is an unusual one for sure, and we’re not entirely convinced it’ll sit well with Granny when the family gets together in the living room, but it’s a decent enough premise all the same.
Rock Zombie places you in the heavy-metal boots of three rock divas whose concert has been invaded by the undead. You’ll collect weapons, smash zombies’ heads in with said weapons and generally be a bit of a bad-arse while looking fly as fu- er, heck, across 20 levels.
Rock Zombie is already available on PC via Steam and is also a downloadable title on the Nintendo Wii U’s eShop, though the Xbox One version should look and run a little better than the latter. The game is due out this December, but publisher EnjoyUp stresses that this is not set in stone and could change.
We’ve got a competition going on. Give this a read if you’re interested.
