Criterion Games have confirmed, via Twitter, that their Xbox 360 game Burnout Paradise will be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. A fan asked this question: “Was there ever a definite answer on Paradise City making it to XBO via backwards compatibility?” to which Criterion replied: “Yes there was, and yes it is… It’s in the pipe five-by-five. Stay tuned for a date though.”
Apparently Burnout Paradise is one of the most requested games for backwards compatibility, so good on Microsoft and Criterion for delivering it. It’s no surprise that the game is heavily requested considering its iconic gameplay modes, tight controls, and graphics that still hold up. In the meantime while you wait to play the game why not blare out some Guns n’ Roses in anticipation, and let us know what other 360 games you’d like to play on your Xbox One in the comments below.
