The Xbox One’s backwards compatibility list just keeps on growing, though you’d never know unless you’re a part of the Xbox One preview program. At the moment the feature is only available for preview members but it’ll soon be available to all from November.
The latest game to be added to the list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One is the SEGA Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage. The collection features the three original Streets of Rage in their updated form that allows players to earn achievements for kicking the crap out of bad guy sprites. Not bad. Still, we’d be happier if a bloody sequel was announced. It’s been too long SEGA, too damned long!
Oddly enough, the collection is around 935MB in size whereas the original Xbox 360 release on the Xbox Live arcade was less than 300MB. We’ve no idea why and to be honest, it doesn’t really matter. You can go ahead and get the side-scrolling retro classics from here.
