If you’re an Xbox One owner who just so happens to have pre-ordered the digital edition of Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, you can go ahead and download the day one patch for the game and save yourself the bother on launch day.
Pre-loading has been available for a while, but the day one patch has just become available. The patch is around 3GB in size, so it’s not too dissimilar to the PS4’s day one patch which clocks in at 2.5GB.
The update is nothing interesting though, as it’s just stability, but we all like a good bit of stability in our lives, right? The update brings the total file size close to the 50GB mark, so if you’re planning on going digital with this generation you may want to invest in a larger hard drive than the stock 500GB.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release on November 6th for the Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The last-gen versions of Black Ops 3 don’t come with a single-player campaign, but they do come with the multiplayer and zombies modes intact. Oh, and awful graphics.
