If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Earth Defense Force 2 for PS Vita, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer. Not too long, mind, just a couple of weeks extra. After all this time, what harm is a couple of weeks, eh?
The game was originally slated to release on November 24th for the PS Vita but has since been pushed back to December 8th. As it happens, December 8th is also the release date of Earth Defense Force 4.1 for the PS4. It seems like a bit of an odd move, really. We’ve seen handheld games get butchered in sales due to the bigger and better console releases. Whether this will happen this time around is hard to say, though. Time will tell…
Earth Defense Force 2 is available to pre-order via Amazon. You can do so here, or you can just get the game via the PlayStation Store digitally, providing you have enough memory card space left over.
[Update: Video game specialist GameStop has also changed its release date to reflect a December 8th release.]
