Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China came as quite a nice surprise when it released as nobody was really expecting to see a decent standalone story, nevermind one set in the fan-requested location of China. The game actually released earlier this year in April but has only just received an update. Don’t get too excited, though, as nothing major has been added to the game. The patch notes read as follows:
Version 1.01
Patch 01.01
- Initial launch patch
- Added localisation date for Simplified Chinese
Aaaand that’s it. A launch patch some six or so months post launch. Good job, Ubisoft! Currently, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China is only available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, though it’s looking almost certain that a port will release on the PS Vita at some point – which is a good thing because the remote play controls from PS4 to PS Vita are absolute bollocks. To be honest, we can’t really imagine many people are still playing this one, especially since Assassin’s Creed Syndicate released, and despite its flaws, Syndicate is still a decent enough game.
