How To Get Hogwarts Legacy Talents
At the beginning of Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll be working your way around the magical school, taking classes and occasionally going on a dangerous adventure with Professor Fig. Once you have your bearings and reach Level 5, the Talent Point system will be unlocked to you. This is when you can get Hogwarts Legacy talents.
Every time you level up in the game, you will gain one talent point. You can gain experience by collecting objects around school like casting Accio on pages flying in the air. There will also be challenges like defeating a certain amount of dark wizards or spiders around the open world. All of this, in addition to completing quests around Hogwarts, will net you experience for talent points. Unfortunately, you can’t grind XP with a friend.

What Are Hogwarts Legacy Talent Points Used For?
Once you’ve leveled up, you’ll want to pause the game and then head over to the “Talents” menu with the shoulder buttons on your controller. From here, you’ll see a set of cards: Spells, Dark Arts, Core, Stealth, and the Room of Requirement. Each section provides bonuses to your character, and as you level up further, more options will be available to you. For example, at Level 22, you can make the Transformation Spell turn your enemies into explosive objects.
In the spells section, Hogwarts Legacy will buff offensive magic. Mostly, it offers the ability to hit surrounding opponents rather than just one. One of the first Hogwarts Legacy talents you should unlock is definitely Incendio Mastery, which releases a ring of flame around your wizard. It’s super powerful and reaches multiple enemies easily. Depulso Mastery is also extremely useful for crowd control.
The Dark Arts are where you can become somewhat of an evil wizard. You can curse opponents, who are stunned and are more susceptible to damage. If all of your opponents are stunned and you have Avada Kadavra, the mastery of that spell will kill everyone who is cursed.
The Core section is where your spells get general buffs, and it also allows you to switch your spell setups on the fly. You can gain access to more than four spells at a time by switching the spell set instantly. You can also gain a neat dodge ability called Swift, which lets you vanish out of sight and dash around opponents.
Stealth is what it says on the tin for its Hogwarts Legacy talent points. This is a small section that lowers your detectability with foes and lets you sprint while invisible.
Lastly, the Room of Requirement partition gives you the opportunity to buff the throwable objects you can create in the legendary landmark. For example, the Fertiliser talent has two Chinese Chomping Cabbages being thrown instead of just one. A few potions’ effects are also increased, such as the Invisibility Potion lasting a longer time.
Despite all these upgrades, you will not be able to wield the Elder Wand throughout the whole game to prove you’re the greatest witch or wizard in the world.
