Is It Possible To Change Your Name in Hogwarts Legacy?
Creating your witch and wizard can be thrilling as many dream about stepping foot into the Wizarding World. Your name in Hogwarts Legacy can be just as important as the appearance of your character. Unfortunately, you cannot change your name in Hogwarts Legacy once your journey has begun. This could potentially be added in a later patch, but right now, you’ll have to stick to your original name.

How To Change Your Appearance
While you can’t change your name in Hogwarts Legacy, there are many other customization options available in the game. First, you can alter your appearance. If you’re ten hours in and hate your character’s hairstyle or scar, you’ll want to head on over to Hogsmeade. Once you arrive, you’ll want to get to Madam Snelling’s Tress Emporium. It’s indicated by a scissors emblem and is nearby Gladrags Wizardwear.
While the shop looks like a barber shop, you can actually change much more than your protagonist’s hairstyle. You can change their hair colour, complexion, freckles, scars, eye colour, eyebrow colour, and eyebrow shape. It only costs 20 Galleons as well. It’s so cheap! Unfortunately, you can’t share your hairstyle with another player as there are no multiplayer features in Hogwarts Legacy.
You will also gain new clothes, glasses, and headwear throughout your playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy. They can be earned by finishing quests and opening chests around the world. While they do give stat boosts, you can change your appearance no matter what you have equipped. Press the square button (or X on Xbox) to switch over to another option like a different cloak or removing your glasses. We wish you could use the Elder Wand as well, but it’s only available to you for a limited time.
