What is The Musket Vengeance Blast?
There is a Legendary Musket in New World called “Vengeance Blast“. It is one of the many Legendary Muskets that exist in the game. Some of these legendary Muskets are dropped by enemies, others are in chests, some are crafted recipes, and some are quest lines to craft a specific weapon.
Vengeance Blast is a Legendary Musket with 580 Gear Score that is granted at the end of a quest chain.

Perks on Vengeance Blast in New World
- Empty Gem Socket: An empty socket for a gem.
- Mortal Refreshment: When you kill something reduce all cooldowns by -5%. (5s cooldown.)
- Enchanted: Light and Heavy attacks deal 9.4% more damage.
- Lifestealing: You gain 1.4% of your damage as health. Does not trigger off persistent damage or DoT effects.
How To Get Vengeance Blast in New World
The Legendary Musket Vengeance Blast is the reward at the end of a quest chain that starts with Leyson Reese in Shattered Mountain. The quest that actually rewards Vengeance Blast is called “Baetylus Headpiece”.
Once you hit level 58, this quest line will unlock. Find Leyson in Shattered Mountain on a path, to pick up the first quest in the questline, called “Pushing Back”. You will need to complete a few quests before you can unlock the quest to get Vengeance Blast. Below you will find the map of where to find Leyson Reese in New World.
Here is the full quest chain to unlock the legendary musket Vengeance Blast:
- Pushing Back
- Guardians’ Secrets
- Baetylus Headpiece
First you will have to complete the quest Pushing Back, by simply following the quest to kill the Infernal Corrupted in Vehemence and Iratus and detonating bombs.
When you hand Pushing Back in, you will get Guardians’ Secrets. Complete this quest by killing a few enemies again, just follow the quest instructions as it if very simple.
Finally when you hand in Guardians’ Secrets, you will unlock Baetylus Headpiece. This quest is another straight-forward one. You will want to be level 60, and head into the Lazarus Instrumentality Expedition with a group. Within the expedition, you will be tasked with killing Cilla, one of the bosses within. Once you kill Cilla, you can head back to Leyson Reese in Shattered Mountain to finish the quest.
