- If you need help knowing how to start a fire in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, this guide will tell you how to.
How to start Impa and the Geoglyphs quest
In order to begin accessing the Geoglyphs, you will need to speak to Impa first. You will find Impa at the New Serenne Stable. Impa wants to investigate the Geoglyphs, and to do so you will need to go in the hot air balloon that is currently broken.
However, you can fix it with Ultrahand. Light the fire in the middle, and then you will be off into the air to investigate the gigantic image on the ground.
Whilst you can choose to go to each Geoglyph in any order you like, there is an order that is best, as by collecting the Dragon Tear that resides within them, you will unlock a cutscene each time.
All Geoglyph and Dragon Tear locations
Above, you can see the mapped Tears of the Kingdom Geoglyph Dragon Tears locations, along with additional instructions on how to find them below.
Dragon’s Tear #1
The first Dragon’s Tear can be found in the right eye of the Geoglyph at New Serenne Stable.
Dragon’s Tear #2
For the second Dragon’s Tear, you will want to make your way to Rito Village and go Northeast of Lindor Brow’s Skyview Tower. There, you will find the second Dragon Tear at the top of the Geoglyph. The tear is near the top-middle.
Dragon’s Tear #3
The third Dragon’s Tear is between the Zora Domain and Goron City and you’ll find that the Geoglyph looks like the Purah Pad. In order to reach this third Dragon Tear, it is best to fly from the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower as the Geoglyph is south of the Tower. The tear is in the middle of the Geoglyph.
Dragon’s Tear #4
The fourth Dragon’s Tear is southwest of Kakariko Village, between two Skyview Towers. You’ll find it nestled between Popla Hills and Sahasra Slope, west of the Dueling Peaks. This Geoglyph is hidden in the forest, so you won’t be able to see it from the sky.
Dragon’s Tear #5
You’ll be able to spot the fifth Dragon’s Tear pretty quickly from the Gerudo Canyon Town Skyview Tower. It’s on the side of a mountain, but it is pretty high up. You’ll need plenty of food and stamina replenishments in order to get to it, or you’ll need to glide to it from the Skyview Tower. The tear will be on the upper cliff, where the ground is flat.
Dragon’s Tear #6
The sixth Dragon’s Tear is in Hyrule Ridge and is easiest to get to from Gerudo Highlands via gliding. You can find the Dragon’s Tear near the bottom-right of the Geoglyph.
Dragon’s Tear #7
For the seventh Dragon’s Tear, you’ll want to go to the far southeast, near Lurelin Village. This Geoglyph is shaped like a dagger, and you’ll find the Tear on the left side of the hilt.
Dragon’s Tear #8
The eighth Geoglyph is in the Tabantha Tundra. The journey to this particular Geoglyph will be treacherous, so make sure you have plenty of supplies ready. The Dragon’s Tear is on the left side of the Geoglyph, just under the left arm.
Dragon’s Tear #9
You can access the ninth Dragon’s Tear with relative ease from Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. This Dragon’s Tear is easy to find, as it’s on a little mound and is elevated higher than the rest of the Geoglyph and is found in the centre.
Dragon’s Tear #10
This particular Geoglyph can be found near Lake Hylia and the Dragon’s Tear can be found on the left-hand side of the Geoglyph.
Dragon’s Tear #11
The next Dragon’s Tear is in the Great Hyrule Forest and can be found by flying from Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and gliding northeast. The tear can be found in the tip of the sword.
Dragon’s Tear #12
Finally, if you have gotten the rest of the Dragon’s Tears, you’ll be able to get a twelfth one. This is in Akkala, and is located near the Gemmick Shrine on the Rist Penninsula. This particular tear will be marked on your map.
