This The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Poes walkthrough will explain what Poes are, where to find them and how you can use them.
Poes are spirits who have been lost in the depths of Hyrule. They act as a kind of currency when you speak to a Poe statue. We’ll explain how to find them and where you can cash them in.
Tears of the Kingdom: Where to find Poes
In Tears of the Kingdom Poes can be found in the depths of Hyrule. You can access a huge underground world underneath Hyrule by dropping through a chasm. The first chasm you find in the game will probably be the one directly south of Lookout Landing.
Drop through the chasm after you’ve talked to Robbie in Lookout Landing and obtained the quest, Camera Work in the Depths. This quest can be unlocked after following the point in the story where you get the Paraglider and Josha can be seen talking to Robbie under the observatory.
Underground is home to glowing spirits called Poes. You’ll see them after a bit of initial exploration. They often cluster in groups of around ten or so, and you can just run over to them and pick them all up by pressing A.
You can also find larger Poes which give you more than one Poe for your collection. Now, you need to read below to know what to do with these spirits once you’ve collected them.
Tears of the Kingdom: How to use Poes
In Lookout Landing, there’s a Poe statue near where Robbie and Josha hang out. You can talk to this statue, and it will tell you to find its brethren. It’s referring to the Poes in the depths.
Collect some Poes and head back to the statue. It will allow you to use these Poes to unlock various items. The items you can unlock initially are listed here:
- Dark Clump – 10 Poes
- Muddle Bud – 16 Poes
- Puffshroom – 16 Poes
- Bomb Flower – 16 Poes
- Dark Tunic – 150 Poes
As you progress through Tears of the Kingdom, you can unlock more items for purchase at Poe statues by completing quests in the depths. Keep exploring and collecting those Poes if you want to unlock everything on offer at the Poe statues!
That’s all you need to know about how to find and use Tears of the Kingdom Poes.
