How and where to farm Dragon Parts in Tears of the Kingdom
To farm dragon parts in Tears of the Kingdom, you need to either shoot at a Dragon using your bow, or glide onto a Dragon’s body to attack at close range – making Dragon parts like shards, claws, and horns fall off.
In total, there are four Dragons that you can farm Dragon Parts. They are dotted around Hyrule, and some will require you to be at different progression stages in the game, which will be explained a bit later.
Dinraal
Dinraal can be found in the Eldin Mountains, specifically near the Volcano. However, they can also be found near the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. In order to get close to this fiery beast, you’ll need Fireproof gear, otherwise, you’ll overheat and turn into a puddle of sweat and ash.
Dinraal will also shoot fireballs at you if you get close, so you’ll want to make sure you’re stocked up on plenty of food and good armour.
Farosh
Farosh circles Gerudo Canyon and the surrounding areas such as The River of the Dead, Mount Hylia and Mount Nabooru. Farosh uses lightning to deter enemies and is always surrounded by a lightning storm.
You’re going to want to make sure that you have elixirs or meals that protect you from lightning or have the Rubber Armor set to hand if you’re going to take this Dragon on.
Naydra
Naydra the Frost Dragon is found at Mount Lanayru, Kakariko Village, and circling surrounding areas. Naydra will shoot balls of ice at those who dare approach. Again, elixirs and food will be a godsend in here, as well as the Snowquill Armor set.
Light Dragon
The Light Dragon is incredibly different to the rest of them, and this dragon you will need to get if you want to get the Master Sword. The Light Dragon travels the entire way around Hyrule, so you may have a harder time tracking them down.
The plus side is that when you are finally able to track it down, the Light Dragon won’t attack you. To get the Sword from its head, you will need two full Stamina wheels to get it.

How to use Dragon Parts
Dragon parts have multiple uses, depending on what part of the Dragon you are using. You can get Dragon Scales, Claws, Horn Fragments and Shard Spikes.
The best way to use them is to Fuse them into one of your weapons. This will imbue your weapon with Draconic power, and will make your weapon incredibly powerful.
Equally, they can make fantastic elixirs and food buffs, giving you great resistance when combined with the right ingredients. For example, combining Dragon Shards with your meal will provide you with an extra two minutes duration of whatever effect is going to be applied.
