Developer 34BigThings and publisher Saber Interactive have announced Redout 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and it’ll be zipping onto a screen near you sometime in 2022.
Ready to wipe out?
Redout 2 is the sequel to 34BigThings’ original Redout, inspired by the likes of F-Zero X and WipeOut, that was released back in 2016 to rave reviews from fans missing their fix of anti-gravity racing.
Redout 2 aims to take things to the next level, delivering pulse-pounding anti-gravity racing through tracks set on a future dystopian Earth where vehicular combat racing is the go-to sport for those who remain. A bit grim to think about, but at least the future promises semi-flying cars, so there’s that.
With an original soundtrack, an extensive Career Mode, online competitive multiplayer, and more customization than you can shake a chequered flag at, Redout 2 promises to be bigger and better in every way.
When is Redout 2 coming out? That’s a good question, and at the moment all we know is that it’s set to release sometime in 2022. There’s no release window yet, unfortunately, but if you’re an eager beaver, you can wishlist the game on Steam already.
In the meantime, let your jaw hit the floor with the announce trailer and screenshots, which you’ll find down below.
