Wallabies and All Blacks confirmed
NACON and Eko Software have revealed today the full list of officially licensed teams that players will be scrumming around with (I DON’T KNOW RUGGER) when the game releases early next year.
For those who do know about the sport of throwing an egg-shaped ball from one side of the field to another, it’s good to know who you’ll be able to do it as, providing your nation is included. And as the wording of the press release states that Rugby 22 will include the “vast majority” of major national teams, it suggests that some people will inevitably be left disappointed.
Two new additions to Rugby 22 are the Wallabies – the Australian national team – and the All Blacks – the New Zealand national team. Good news for New Zealanders and Australians, then.
Rugby 22 is the latest entry in the Rugby franchise, which is not quite annual. The last release was Rugby 20, and before that, Rugby 18.
Eko Software is apparently working to make Rugby 22 the most realistic depiction of the sport known as rugby to players with enhanced AI, new difficulty modes, realistic graphics and player models through the use of photogrammetry, and much more.
Rugby 22 will release on January 27th, 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
