One Humanity
Legendary game developer and creator of the acclaimed DOOM franchise, John Romero, has released a brand new level for DOOM 2 in support of Ukraine.
Why DOOM 2? Why not?
For $5, you’ll get a download for the DOOM 2: One Humanity level that can be played. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund to aid the humanitarian effort after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has seen thousands of civilians killed in the conflict and millions displaced.
It’s a nice move by the developer and fans of the 1994 shooter will be chuffed to get a new level from the game’s creator all these years later. It’s just a shame that it’s coming under such dire circumstances.
If you want to take a trip back to 1994, or just want to show your support, you can but the DOOM 2: One Humanity level pack on John Romero’s official website.
Bear in mind, you will need an original version of DOOM 2 to play the One Humanit level pack; the new level does not include the full game as part of its download.
