Criminally large…
GTA V for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S is due out next week on March 15th, but when can you pre-load GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S? How big is the download? How much hard drive space will it take on your console?
For PS5, at least, we know the answer due to the popular PlayStation game size tracking Twitter account, PlayStationGameSize, which has revealed the download size for GTA V on PS5 – and it’s not a little one by any means.
According to the details, GTA V on PS5 will be robbing 86.837GB of hard drive space, while the pre-load for the game will be available from March 8th. If you want to get your copy of the game installed and ready to go on the day of release, you’ll be able to hand over your money tomorrow and get the game downloaded ahead of release, saving you potentially a few hours of waiting for the game to download and install on release day.
At the moment, the download size for GTA V on Xbox Series X|S isn’t known, though it shouldn’t be too far off what’s already been revealed for the PS5 edition; expect a fairly big download.
GTA V for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will come with a ton of new graphical enhancements as well as improvements to the sprawling city of Los Santos, as reported yesterday.
GTA V releases March 15th for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a digital download, with PlayStation Plus members getting free access to GTA Online for a limited time. The physical release will follow sometime in April, though no release date has been announced as of yet.
