Delayed until further notice
Nintendo has announced today that Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will not release as intended on April 8th, citing “recent world events” as the reason behind the delay.
In a post on the company’s official Twitter account, the platform holder said:
In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.

To be fair to Nintendo, this is a fair move and a show of unity for the Ukrainian people; the last thing people fleeing a warzone – or trying to survive in one – is the imagery of tanks blowing things up, even if it is a video game.
As it stands, there is no new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, but Nintendo says that it will update players as soon as a new release date has been decided.
