Hidden Depths from a land down under
Australian developer Uppercut Games is cracking open the bubbly today as it celebrates the release of Submerged: Hidden Depths, which releases today on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store after initially releasing on Google’s Stadia cloud gaming platform.
What is Submerged: Hidden Depths? It’s a sequel to the studio’s previous game, Submerged, and players take siblings Miku and Taku on an exploration-based adventure through a post-apocalyptic world to discover the mysteries of a long-lost civilisation.
With no combat to speak of, Submerged: Hidden Depths is a pure exploration game that tasks players with solving puzzles, platforming, and exploration in a tense and atmospheric adventure.
“It’s remarkable to reflect on our time with Submerged: Hidden Depths. Starting out on Google Stadia to now seeing it launch on PC and console.”, remarked Ed Orman, Co-founder of Uppercut Games “As a team we’ve often found ourselves stretching and learning in creating our games, and Submerged: Hidden Depths was no different. Expanding on what we started in Submerged has been a joy, especially as we’ve been able to stay true to that sense of relaxploration that was at its core.”
Submerged: Hidden Depths is out now on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
