As many of you know, there is a first-person-shooter title coming out in around a months time, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.
As we’ve mentioned before, this looks like another Activision cash in ploy, and from what we’ve seen in previous gameplay leaks and this latest “gameplay” trailer, it still looks pretty dire.
The actual video was released exclusively to Entertainment Weekly, and is described as gameplay trailer, but there is very little in the way of actual gameplay.
Before you take my word as gospel, check out the trailer over at Entertainment Weekly here, and then check out the earlier articles with videos by clicking here.
With little in the way of actual gameplay demonstration, I think it’s safe to say we have another Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified on our hands. Activision are probably the worst publisher when it comes to movie/tv tie ins, just look at the brutal death they gave James Bond with 007: Legends and the massive disappointment that is Wreck-It Ralph, not to mention countless other titles. Well, if it’s Activsion’s mediocre record you want to know about, click here for a full and frank breakdown of each of their games and why they are less than average…
Anyway, back on to The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. It looks like it’s going to be mediocre at best, and that’s being optimistic to the point of foolish. Still, maybe if we all cross our fingers… Let’s not waste our time.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will release in North America on March 19th and then March 22nd for the U.K and Europe. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Wii U version is due to release the week after.
