Here’s a quick guide to choosing the right Glaivier Skills in Lost Ark. If you want to make sure you are performing optimally in Chaos Dungeons and Raids look no further.
Depending on which class engraving you choose, the skills you use will change. The two Glaivier Class Engravings are:
- Control: Restricts use to only Flurry Skills (Blue)
- Moderate Damage, Fast Attacks, Simpler Rotation
- Pinnacle: Improves the Buff while swapping stances at Level 3 Identity Gauge
- Higher Damage, Parry Ability, Stance Dancing
Both engravings are viable in all types of content, choose which one is more fun to play for yourself.

Glaivier Pinnacle Build
The [Glaivier] Pinnacle Class Engraving playstyle revolves around building 3 Levels of Identity Gauge and swapping stances to gain a big damage buff. It is more complex than the [Glaivier] Control Class Engraving playstyle, but it’s damage potential is much higher.

Glaivier Pinnacle Build Raid Guide
Glaivier Control Build
The [Glaivier] Control Class Engraving playstyle restricts skill usage to Flurry Skills. Players no longer swap stances and instead must select more Tripod 2: Final Decision to consume Identity Gauge to deal more damage. It is simpler than the [Glaivier] Pinnacle Class Engraving, but it’s damage potential is lower.
Control Glaivier Skills
Skill | 252 SP Level | 340 SP Level | Tripods | Rune | Information |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Chain Slash | 4 | 10 | 3-1-2 | Galewind | Mobility |
Flash Kick | 4 | 10 | 1-3-1 | Rage | Mobility |

Control Glaivier Stat Allocation
- Swiftness
- Crit
The Control playstyle has good synergy with certain engravings that scale well with high Swiftness. Namely, Raid Captain and Adrenaline. Spirit Absorption is also utilized to further improve both of those engravings.
Glaivier Chaos Dungeon Build
The build below will look a little strange but it’s because it makes use of Level 3 Preemptive Strike Engraving. Preemptive Strike guarantees a +160% Crit on full HP Challenge and lower enemies. This effect applies to all* enemies in Chaos Dungeons. Only the first hit will be a Crit, so any skills that get their damage from a series of hits don’t perform as well.
Preemptive Strike is a very economical engraving to achieve. It is easy to get level 3 by swapping Imprints and Ability Stones. No need to get a whole new set of accessories too!
Here’s a breakdown of the skills in this build from highest damage to lowest, separated by which type of monster they should be able to one shot kill or nearly one shot, without any other engravings effects, gems or buffs applied. This build Synergizes nicely with the Pinnacle Raid Build as we still want to dance between stances to make use of Red Dragon’s Horn to one shot the Challenge monster at the end of Stage 2.
- Challenge:
- Red Dragon’s Horn
- Named:
- Starfall Pounce
- Shackling Blue Dragon* (above 25% Identity Gauge)
- Raging Dragon Slash
- Normal
- Flash Kick
- Cutting Wind
- Windsplitter
- Soul Cutter
- Half Moon Slash
- Vault
This build does however struggle with the special boss room encounter. I would highly recommended changing to a single target boss raid build, such as this Pinnacle Build.
You can simply tap Red Dragon’s Horn on named and normal monsters instead of fully charging it and it will often be ready very soon after killing the named monsters.
Test and try out this build for yourself!
