Rumours are common place in today’s gaming industry, as is evident to anybody who has even a passing interest in the industry.
The latest rumour for us to report on is that Batman: Arkham Origins will be releasing this year on both the current generation consoles and next-generation consoles.
This comes from French gaming site GameBlog, which you can read here (you’ll need to know French to appreciate the site, luckily I’m pretty damn good with the ol’ Francais.)
The site explains that they have received a tip from “sources close to the matter” that the game is indeed titled Batman: Arkham Origins and will take place during the 1950’s and 1960’s along with some familiar faces from the DC Universe including Green Lantern and Superman.
The French website also claims that they title will be displayed by developer Rocksteady Studios later this year at the annual E3 event and that Batman: Arkham Origins is set to release on the PlayStation 4 and next-Xbox as well as seeing a release on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
These are pretty bold claims but they aren’t totally impossible. It wasn’t that long ago that Warner Bros. registered a whole bunch of domain names, one of which was batmanarkhamorigins.com and I predicted that we may see a reveal this E3, maybe I’m a quarter French? Oh god…
