The Next Xbox controller doesn’t appear to have a whole lot of difference in comparison to the current Xbox 360 controller, according to Kotaku’s sources.
Apparently the Next Xbox’s controller won’t be introducing any drastic changes to its design and will be keeping the same button layout, the sticks will remain in the top left and bottom right and the ‘Home’ button is staying more or less where it is now.
According to Kotaku’s sources, the controllers are a little smaller than the current Xbox 360 controller and that’s about it. Also worth noting is that the prototype controllers are covered in black and white stripes, probably to act as a deterrent for potential leaks and pinpoint who did leak the image if one is leaked, though I think it’s doubtful that we’ll get to see one until Microsoft officially unveils the Next Xbox which is supposed to take place later on this month.
In addition to this latest rumour, there’s another one doing the rounds that the Next Xbox will feature a ‘discrete’ screen embedded within the controller, though it’s all just rumours for the time being.

What do you think? Would you be happy to have more or less the same controller for the Next Xbox? Or would you be partial to a second screen function, like the Wii U and it’s GamePad? Let us know down in the comments section below.
