If you’ve just started playing, you might be wondering how you can use amiibo with Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Ever since the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, amiibo figures have been supported by many first-party Nintendo games over the years. One such instance is in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, including a special reward for scanning the Shulk amiibo.. Here’s how to use your amiibo in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and what you’ll get when scanning them.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Amiibo: How To Scan Them
Accessing the amiibo option is a little hidden within the menus. Pause the game and then once you’re on the menu, head down to “System”. Press A, and head to the “amiibo” tab near the bottom of the list above “Options” and below “Control Guide.”
Before picking up your amiibo figure, make sure your controller is Amiibo compatible. For example, some PowerA third party controllers don’t have the functionality. You may have to switch to portable mode and use the JoyCon’s sticks.
Now, grab your amiibo figure and place it on the NFC touchpoint of your selected controller. Hold the toy to the touchpoint for a few seconds until the bar goes 100%. Afterwards, you’ll gain your rewards. Keep in mind that you can only use three amiibo daily. They’ll be able to be used again 24 hours later.
We scanned the Charizard amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. set and received the Collectibles Set 18. It includes Mottlemarble Aries Meat, Lucky Marrin Thickcuts, Cozy Rhogul Egggems, and Killjoy Crustip Meat. You can use any amiibo with Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
After scanning the amiibo and leaving the menu, the items in the collectables set will drop around your party leader. Grab everything you can from the ground before continuing the game.

Shulk Amiibo: Special Reward
The Shulk amiibo from the Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS set does actually unlock a special skin for Noah’s weapon. You can switch the look of his sword to Shulk’s signature weapon, the Monodo.
Thankfully, you can change every character’s appearance after reaching a certain point in the story, and if you’re struggling, despite the power of the Monado, you can alter the difficulty setting in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 as well.
