A few days ago we got some of the first details about the next FIFA game, FIFA 14. We got some gameplay details, a few screenshots and not much else other than that it would be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with other platforms being revealed at a later date.
Online retailer Amazon outed the PS Vita version yesterday with a listing and a release date of September 24th, along with the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 version. However, the dates have since changed to December 31st, which is definitely a placeholder until they are given the exact date of release.
FIFA 14 won’t be shaking things up that much, but will most likely just be another update to the teams and a few minor changes to gameplay with a greater focus on the online modes and micro-transactions. None of these have been confirmed, but come on, it’s EA. Worst company in America. Yeah…
The PS Vita version hasn’t been officially announced, but I think it’s safe to say that EA will want to put FIFA 14 on as many platforms as possible. Hopefully this time around it’s not just a direct copy and paste like with FIFA 13.
It’s also been rumoured that FIFA 14 will also see a release on the next-gen consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Next Xbox, though again, this is yet to be confirmed but I think we’ll find out sooner or later, maybe E3.
