Activision’s latest instalment in the long-running Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Ghosts has been officially confirmed by the publisher, and what’s more it’s been confirmed for next-gen consoles.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will indeed run on a brand new “next-gen” engine, something fans and critics have been crying out for since the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and Microsoft’s Next Xbox according to Activision’s press release, confirming rumours that the next title will launch on the next-generation of consoles.
Activision is set to fully unveil Call of Duty: Ghosts during the Microsoft meeting on May 21st where the platform holder will officially announce it’s next-generation home video game console, the Next Xbox.
We had heard rumours that today, May 1st would be the day that we would get a blow-out of information, maybe even a hype-inducing trailer, though it seems money has spoken and Microsoft has bought the big reveal for their meeting on May 21st.
