Splatsville is a bustling city featuring all sorts of Splatoon 3 characters. Outside of the gameplay, perhaps the most alluring aspect of Splatoon 3 is its larger-than-life characters that together create a distinctive vibe that sucks you right in. Before you make your first trip to Splatsville, here are all the Splatoon 3 characters that’ll be there to greet you.

Splatoon 3 Playable Characters
In Splatoon 3, you can play as either an Inkling or an Octoling. Despite both races being humanoid cephalopods, Octolings and Inklings are strikingly different in looks, voice, and personality.
Splatoon 3 Idol Characters
Shiver, Frye, and Big Man make up Deep Cut, Splatoon 3’s idol group. The three band members host Anarchy Splatcast, the news show of Splatsville. That’s not all! Shiver, Frye, and Big Man also host the occasional Splatfests, each representing a different team. The Deep Cut trio replaces the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook from Splatoon and Splatoon 2, respectively.
Shiver
While more reserved than their co-stars, Shiver isn’t afraid to let out a cheeky comment from time to time. Shiver is an Octoling and represents the blue option in Splatfests.
Frye
Self-described as “the queen of eels”, Frye is certainly the most outgoing and bubbly member of Deep Cut. Frye is an Inkling and represents the yellow option in Splatfests.
Big Man
The endearing Big Man is a giant anthropomorphic manta ray. Despite only being capable of speaking the word “ay”, the citizens of Splatsville seem to understand what Big Man’s getting at. Big Man represents the red option in Splatfests.
- Deep Cut hosts Splatfests, but that’s just one of many activities available in Splatoon 3. Check out all of the Splatoon 3 maps and modes.
Splatoon 3 Vendor Characters
Visit the Splatoon 3 vendors to acquire new weapons and gear, customise your existing loadout, or spice up your appearance.
Mr. Coco
Mr. Coco, the crustaceous crab, runs the Crush Station shop in Splatsville. What a pun, right? Mr. Coco’s size can be intimidating, but deep down, he’s as delightful as a creature of his stature could be. Mr. Coco will sell you shoes for Cash.
Jel La Fleur
Jel La Fleur is a fashion snob that operates the Man-o’-Wardrobe clothing shop in Splatsville. As you may have guessed, Jel La Fleur is a jellyfish.
Gnarly Eddy And Nails
Gnarly Eddy and Nails manage the Naut Couture shop in Splatsville. You can visit these two to purchase headgear for use in Turf Wars and other activities. Gnarly Eddy the nautilus is chill and laid-back, while his partner, Nails the sea snail, is full of zest.
Murch
Murch has aged quite a bit since the last time we saw him! In Splatoon 2, Murch, the sea urchin, flaunted a bad-boy persona and tended to act cocky and arrogant. It seems that the years have matured Murch, and he is much kinder in Splatoon 3. Whether you forgive him for his past transgressions or not, Murch will order gear for you and modify it to your liking.
Sheldon
Sheldon, the horseshoe crab, owns Ammo Knights. A bit goofy in appearance, Sheldon is a firearms fanatic. Visit Sheldon in Splatsville for all your weapon needs.
Harmony
Harmony, the humanoid sea anemone, serves as the fill-in manager at the Hotlantis general store. Ditzy at times, Harmony has everything you need to customise your locker and Splashtag.
- The Splatoon 3 weapons, gear, and customisation offered by the vendors of Splatsville are more diverse than ever before.
