Eager nerds and World of Warcraft enthusiasts will be happy to know that not only is there a World of Warcraft movie in the works, but it’s set to start filming sometime in 2014.
Speaking to Slash Film, producer Charles Roven gave a bit of information as to when the film will be shooting, stating “First quarter 2014 we’re going to shoot that movie.”
It’s widely expected that the World of Warcraft movie will see a release in 2015. There’s little in the way of plot details, characters or settings though it’s possible we’ll hear more once the cameras have started rolling.
As with almost all announcements of movies based on video-games, there’s the expectation that it will turn up dead-on-arrival. That being said, the guy behind the camera is non other than Duncan Jones who has proven himself more than capable with Moon and Source Code (two of my favourite movies!)
