Some tasty news for fans of PlanetSide 2, according to a new report the free-to-play title will be looking great on the PS4.
Chatting to Game Informer, Clint Worley and Tramell Isaac noted that the free-to-play MMO will be visually stunning on the PS4, stating that it’s going to “look like the PC version on max settings”.
If that’s not enough for you, you’ll be able to enjoy those impressive visuals just about anywhere in your house because PlanetSide 2 will be playable via Remote Play on the PS Vita. So if you know you’re going to be a while passing through that curry, you can switch your game to the PS Vita and continue to blow apart/get blown apart, depending on how good/bad you are.
Also worth noting is that there will not be cross-play between PC players and PS4 players, mainly due to the fact that PC players would have an unfair advantage with regards to aiming. As much as us console fans love our controllers, we really can’t match the precision of a mouse, so it’s for the best really.
Sony will be giving us our first look at PlanetSide 2 running on the PS4 later this year at SOE Live sometime in August, so keep your eyes peeled for more on this closer to the time.
